The Christmas Colt
It’s a favorite Williams family tradition – each family member, on their thirteenth birthday, is given a foal to raise in preparation for the yearling auction, and now it’s Chrissie’s turn. She knows she’s ready for the responsibility, and even has the perfect foal in mind.
But when her birthday arrives, and what Chrissie sees standing before her is actually a scrawny colt of a second best mare, she is devastated.
How can she care for this klutzy little weakling? He’ll never be anything special. Or will he? First, Chrissie must decide if she’s up to the challenge …
