Meet Therese Mohn!

Therese lives in a small town by the coast in the southeast of Norway. When she was 7 years old she started to take riding lessons. Therese recalls that her first lesson was full of tears and drama: The horse went galloping away from her, and she started to cry. Nevertheless, her initial fear was soon replaced by a craze for horses and riding.

When Therese went to university, she could no longer ride as much as she used to. She has also lived in England and in France, where she studied a lot, and rode a little! Her school- tasks annoyingly intereferred with her interest in horses! But even when she wasn’t riding, she kept her dream of someday owning a horse…

And in the meantime, Therese’s desire to write stories proved to be a helpful outlet when her imagination ran wild, like a galloping horse! At 11 years old, Therese started to write her first novel - about horses, of course. Sad to say, it was never finished. But ever since then she has been a passionate reader and writer. Even if she can’t always be on horseback, she can read or write about it! One of Therese’s creative endeavours is a series of stories centered around a horse-crazy girl, “Bree.”

Today, Therese lives in a 100 -year old house and keeps a small garden. She loves the sun and the sea, especially in summer, and flowers, too. She used to have a cat, and when he died, she cried a lot. Therese has a weakness for cakes, ice-cream and candy, which she loves (although her teeth don’ t).

She has a secret, too: She thinks that all young girls are really princesses in disguise…

I LOVE the way she writes and I like how the character Bree isn’t descibed as being super skinny too! hehe It’s really realistic :D I also think Therese is VERY pretty and has beautiful eyes :)
