Fun Treat Bucket
Fix up that boring, ugly stable bucket! It’s really easy – you just need some clear contact paper and paint!
Material you’ll need:
- Bucket
- Clear contact paper
- Paint (that will work on plastic, like acrylic)
- Pen (that will work on plastic, like a permanent marker)
Useful tools:
- Stencil brush
- Scissors/x-acto knife (it’s sharp – ouch! Ask your parent or guardian to help you with this!)
- Cutting board
Here’s How:
- Make sure the bucket is clean!
- Paint the entire bucket a color (we like green)
- Wait for the bucket to dry
- Trace an easy carrot shape on the clear contact paper (or, whatever shape you like, but we like carrots)
- Cut the carrot out from the contact paper
- Take the large piece of contact paper (not the carrot) — you now have a stencil!
- Put the contact paper on the bucket where you want the carrot to appear
- Paint with orange paint directly on the contact paper and bucket
- Remove the contact papaer and place on another part of the bucket, if you’d like. Continue until you’ve covered your bucket with as many carrots as you want!
- Wait until the carrots dry
- Fill in the carrot outlines with a black pen
- If you want to, add a decroative bow on the handle!
This looks really fun and neat to do! I can not wait to do it this summer!

Cute…… I only wish I had a horse to do this for! I want a horse SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad ,but I don’t have room to. I would do anythinng to even RIDE a horse, the closes I get to a horse is minature horses, but there NOT mine I just get to visit them.
I did this for the minature horses and it turned out amazing! The lady that owned them called it the magic bucket ’cause the picky one only eats treats out of it and the one that get spooked easily ate right out of it! It was fun to make to.

i want a horse soooooo bad too!!!!!!!!!!!! you could always board your horse at the mini horse farm. riding is fun, but i dont get to do it often. I would do anything to ride a horse, too. and the bucket is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eva, I know what you mean. I love horses and I love them sooooo much The only time i can ride ne whenever i want is when im in illinois with my cousin that has her own horse.. I’m hoping that you will get to do horseback riding soon… HAVE FUN!!!
