Pretty Stable Broom

Do you want to have the coolest broom ever in your stable?  Then keep reading!  You’ll get the best results if you use an unpainted broom.  You can find brooms at hardware stores and supermarkets.

Materials you’ll need:

  • A broom to paint
  • Paint (acrylics work best on wood)
  • Black permanent marker
  • Paper for a pattern

Useful tools:

  • Stencil brush
  • Small pointed paintbrush

Here’s how:

  • Paint the broom one solid color — paint the handle and base!
  • Trace shapes on the paper (like a horse, star, or carrot)
  • Cut out the shapes you made and use the paper as a stencil
  • Place the templates on the broom and trace the outlines
  • Continue until you have your desired painting
  • Then paint the traced shapes on your broom
  • Let the broom dry!
  • For an artistic affect, dip a sponge in paint and dab on around the edges!
