April’s Spring Fling Package!

April's Spring Fling Package

For our horse-crazy members, our exclusive SPRING FLING Package is for you! This package is chock-full of everything you need to have a fabulous spring: thrilling novels, a photo fiction book, a backpack for trail rides and hikes, a gorgeous hand-blown glass horse, collectible horse cards, and more!

Green Hills Stables – Butterfly

Betty loves her horse, Butterfly, with all her heart, and the two are inseparable. But when something happens that threatens to split the two up forever, Betty and her friends Kate and Helen must quickly find a solution to a problem that will otherwise spell disaster!

Vacation at Sunshine Farm – The Third Summer

June’s mother Marty once again places an ad in the local magazines for her horse camp, and, as usual, hose camp startup is anything but smooth! It’s not enough that Marty’s cook bails, and Marty’s the worst cook in the world. No, even with a full camp, she agrees to host a paraplegic girl, April. How hard could it be to find her a horse? Turns out, plenty!

The Gift Horse

They say you shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth, but Poppy isn’t at all sure about the birthday present her dad gave her and her twin sister, Ruby. Thunder’s so fast and wild looking compared to her favorite riding school ponies! Poppy can only think of one way of the mess she’s in, but that way could put her and Thunder in a lot of danger!

Pony Magazine: April’s Issue

Everyone’s favorite magazine, with member artwork, letters, jokes, pen pals, and more!

Grooming/Gym Backpack

This lightweight, foldable backpack is perfect for a hike or trail ride!  Hot pink polyester, 8 and 1/4 by 6 inches.

Glass Horse

The beautiful handblown glass cutie is a mere 2.9 by 2 inches! Perfect for display. Handle with care.

Surprise!

Or at least it will be until you see it!

i love pony. its the best website i ever signed up for. i have one thing to say though i have never been up on a horse. whats it like to be on one.is it fun .and is it hard to learn how to ride and jump.please write back.

    • Maddie The Horse Lover 26 February 2010 at 12:10 pm Permalink

Well, all I have to say is it is so much fun and I ride Western. I did do English but it was just not my thing. So I do western and all i do is walk, trot, and canter but not jump. So if your are going to learn how to ride and you don’t want to jump choose western and if you do, choose english. Well its is so cool to sit on a horse and just sit and embrace the feeling and ride in the paster ahhh its so relaxing. :]

    • horsejumper210 1 March 2010 at 4:08 pm Permalink

Well, to be up on a horse is probably the best feeling in the world. Everytime when I mount my horse, I think how lucky I am and how truly wonderful it is. It is extremely fun, whether you are walking around the arena or springing over fences it is amazing. If you have a good instructor it shouldn’t be too hard to learn. But, It will take time. I took me 4 years before I finally got to learn to jump, which is very fun but yet very challenging. So far I have been riding for 6 years.

        Dear horsejumper210,
        I agree with you.

Riding is so relaxing. The horse can be a bit stubborn, but otherwise, riding is so much fun. It is never too late to try it. I ride English, and even though the saddle might not give you as much support as a western saddle, it is so much more comfortable and fun than western, I think. (no offense Westerners!) Definitely ride, no matter which style you choose. It is a blast once you get on the horse. Oh, and jumping might sound scary, but it is not.

    Dear sneaktig 12,
I have been riding since I was little. and its AMAZING! Nothing feels better then having a horse streach out into a full gallop under you. you can feel the freedom there is nothing like else like it in the world! Riding is hard but it is very well worth it.You feel so great when you learn a new thing or you horse nickers when he sees you. and with horses they dont care what you look like or how you dress they just love you for you and when you and your human friends fight your horse will allways be there!I wouldnt trade my horses or riding for the world! also you asked about jumping. jumping is a pretty advanced but its fun and you will get the hang of it but there are other things then just jumping. ever thought aboput western?(I ride western and english).

      • Ponys rock17534 6 March 2010 at 4:01 pm Permalink

        Dear horse1324,
I know just how you feel. Horses are always there for you and are so fun to be around. Even if you have a grumpy horse, they are still sometimes more fun than your human friends. I would never trade my horses either. I hink they understand me better than my parents do.

I really miss being in the Pony Club right now.I also wish they would lower the prices some.I was in the Pony Club for almost three years when I had to quit getting it.But if Pony Club lowered their prices a little I could get it again. It just makes me kinda sad cause now I see really cool things coming out.

For anyone here who is longing to be closer to their horse, I have some advice. First off, read some books and/or articles about horsemanship and horses as teachers. I recomment the wonderful book, Chicken Soup for the Horse Lover’s Soul. Always know that you can turn any, ANY horse into not just a 1,000 hunk of flesh, but into a best friend. Give him/her treats and spend long episodes together, even when not in the saddle. Be calm, talk sweetly, but give him/her disipline. Lastly, love them. Love him/her with all your heart, and know that he/her will not break your heart like a boy. Know that they are always there for you to use their mane to wipe away your tears, and their withers for rubbing when you are nervous. Love the unconditionally to the end, and when that end comes, bring forth it right. God has blessed thou with a wonderful beauty, and you will not know that truly until thy is gone. Love isn’t kissing or dating, it’s horses.

      Dear Hotshotrenny,
I agree with you 100 percent. You make such good pionts in your comments.

congratz! You are so lucky. I wish I had a horse or pony of my own. I just ride whatever horse my stable puts me on.

    • Ponys rock17534 6 March 2010 at 4:09 pm Permalink

I know how you feel. I have that book and I agree that it is the best one ever. I have one more thing to add. Never ever ever ever give up. You will always succeed if you try hard enough. I should know. I trotted over x jumps for two years until someone noticed me. Then, instead of being left in the corner, I am now put in the middle to shine like any other budding horsewoman. Three years later I am jumping 2 feet high and am now about to enter in my first show. This just goes to show you that if you and your horse are a team, you can achieve anything. I am on a wonderful horse and am doing well.

        Dear ponyrocks,
I know how you feel when you go to a riding stable and you can not pick your own horse that you want to ride becuase i used to not have a horse so i went to a riding stable. Hope you get a horse very soon!

i would really like if pony started somthing more colectable, like the horse figures, or decorated horseshoes. i really like horses but i dont have one, so i want to have more horse things to suround myself with. i would also like to get some new posters, preferably with black horses. also i like friesian horses so i would like it if they made like a themed package with one breed in mind.

    • sneaktig12 7 March 2010 at 9:06 pm Permalink

first me to i think they should start putting more colectable horse figureans in the package, second i love horeses to and i wish i had one cause that would be the only thing i would do after school, third i just joined in jan so i dont have many posters yet but i think they should send some with some mares and foals on them, forth i like morgens cause they have like a baby face no matter how old they get but that would be kool if every other month they would vote and see witch breed they should sponcer in the pony packages.i hope u get this reply from me sneaktig12
