if he starts to buck just kinda squeeze with your legs hold on tight and just grab some mane if you can you also shorten the reins, ponys or horses cant buck with their heads up, as i was saying just hold on tight and it wont last for two minutes that might seem like alot but if you get on again and he bucks and you fall he will learn to buck when ever he wants and you will end up maybe getting hurt so stay on and he will see he cant get away
                               hope this helps :D

Dear rebecca,
Getting bucked happens to everyone:0(
Ive gotten bucked off my friends pony to. My advice would be to spend time with him/her befor you ride and when you are riding tell him what you are doing, what you're gonna make him do. I hope my advice helps!

Have someone walk and trot you on a lunge line until you get your confidence back. You can't let one fall ruin your love of riding.

I strongly agree. If you get bucked off, It's understandable that your scared. But, Make sure that doesn't ruin your relationship between you and your horse. Many horses don't mean to actually buck you off. And like it has been said "Horses don't make up crazy ideas in their stable to harm you." I don' t think horses mean to harm anyone. Unless, They do it to defend themselves or they get spooked etc...

Parvana, is your horse scared to jump? I saw a video of a horse that was afraid to jump so his owners started over and started with a few jumps that were on the ground, then slowly raised the jump, it worked and the horse was not afraid anymore. See if that will work with your horse. :) Good luck!

I don't have a horse yet, but when I do after I am good at riding I want to try jumping my horse! :D I might get one in the spring!

I got bucked off last year while I was trotting a horse, but it was just a freak thing, a horse in the pasture started galloping and it spooked the horse I was riding. I got right back on and finished the riding lesson, and I wasn't scared to trot or canter after that because riding horses means that you're going to fall off sometimes and even break some bones, falling off just happens sometimes and there's nothing you can do to stop it except get better at riding to try to stay on the next time the horse bolts or bucks.
