Question of the Month: Lame Horse!
Now that the weather’s warmer and you’re spending more time outdoors (and hopefully with horses!) we’ve gotten loads of thought-provoking comments and questions, and we need your help more than ever before! How will you respond to a fellow PONY member’s real-life concern? June’s question of the month comes from Emily, who writes:
Dear Pony,
My friend’s lesson horse is lame! I feel very sorry for her! She said that the Thoroughbred is going to be lame forever! So the question I have is: if a horse becomes lame, does that mean he will be lame forever? Thanks for the help.

my finger is in pain in hospitall all day yesterday sliped on the stairs on my finger and then wacked it on the poal its not broken thou i can move it slowly and its my middle finger thats the worsd finger to hurt my first time to go to hospitall with an injury omg and first time to have an x-ray loked horible how am i going to ride my horse know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 im typing with one finger and it fealls wierd i think its badly broused or dislocketed i dount wont to be in hos all day to day again im so bored of just siting ther doing nothing i hope its a fast one today or ill go bilistic ill tell you haw it went tonight or tomorow i geting on my nurves and my moms net time ill be cerfull on thous slipery stairs omg its so hurting i hope they call cwickelly or im goingh mad im in a happy moo 4 some rison as well wired !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sometimes a hourse gets lame and has it all it’s life but not all the time your frinds hourse may not have it all it’s life
If a horse is lame don’t ride it for a bit and just play games on the ground. Have your horse follow you around the arena without holding on to the leadrope. Also if your horse is hurting sponge off that spot with cold water and spend extra time lounging. It will help muscles flex more without the saddle. Also if your horse is old it might have arthritis. If thats the case then try theraputic work.
