Craft of the Month: Stylin’ Notebook!
Brrrnngggg! The bell rings, and you sit down at your desk. Your teacher tells the class to take out your notebooks and one by one, your classmates pull out their five stars in varying shades of black, grey, and navy blue. And you? No way! You’ve got way to much pizzazz to do anything like everyone else - borrrr-iiiing! Your notebook expresses your creativity, your passion, your sparkle … here’s how!
Materials:
- Notebook
- Colored paper to cover notebook
- Photo of horse
- Letter stamps and stamp pad (if you don’t have these, a permenant marker will work too)
- Glue
- Optional: glitter, gems, rhinestones, magazine cut-outs, ribbon, and anything else that’s interesting to your eyes!
Here’s How:
- Cut out the paper your going to cover your book with so it is the same size as the front, spine, and back of your notebook. It should cover it all entirely.
- Glue paper down.
- Take another color paper and cut it so that it is about inch bigger than your horse photo.
- Glue the photo down to this paper.
- Glue both down to the notebook, anywhere you choose.
- Using your stamp set or pen, write your horse’s name underneath.
- Decorate your notebook with anything additional that you’d like!
AWESOME!!! Can’t wait to make it!

I made one of these and used it as a sketch book.
It came out great, I put a picture of my darling Catch-Catch-Can on it. I can tell you, some of my best sketches are on those pages.
It looks great looks like itll be usefull and fun to make i love makin things alot !:)!:)!:)!:)!

This is so cute! I have 6 periods in my day and I have a planner and a notebook for each one. For each pair I have a different picture of my horse. Just seeing his picture brightens up my day! Even though I live in an equestrian community and my school is inside it for the kids that live in it and it’s right next to my house and stable so I get to see him whenever I want…………I like cheese. LOL
Does it work with three ring notebooks or composition books???I dont want to start untill I know!Thanks!

haha i just started the same day you did! i hope you like 6th grade!
well today i worked from from 8 20 to about 3 30 but i had so much fun i lead a horse side walked and ummmm mucked out the stalls trying to find the wet spots and it made bout get sick! o well the horse made up for it one of them kissed me on the mouth!!! and his mouth was crusty from his food! yuck!!!lol lol i usually go once a week on thursday.

It’s okay, for me. But yes, that is certainly a plus!! Watching my mom bring in my PONY package every month is AWESOME! She always lets me stop what I’m doing to open it. 
I’ve been homeschooled my WHOLE LIFE! Since KINDERGARTEN! And I didn’t have preschool. I’m in 7th grade now.

Hmm, once I didn’t get a surprise, I e-mailed PONY, and they asked for my member number, and they sent it to me for free. 
Also I have read all the PONY books I had not read!! YAY! 
Now I can read other books, not that I don’t want to read PONY books, but I had a couple others I wanted to read. 
Now I can’t wait for more PONY books!! Haha!

OH yeah. SOO definitely. You see… I don’t have a horse, I don’t ride because of these hard economic times, and riding lessons are expensive. I’ve loved horses since I was 2 years old when I learned to say “horsey” and the closest thing I can get to horses?? PONY book club!! Thank you SOOO much for supporting my love of horses, PONY!!
I IS!! omg it is awesome… just seeing everything, the couches even turn into magnificent glorious horses. Gosh no other feeling is better.
I get that alot. vition of horses in my head. One time I thought I saw the most beutiful black horse with a green blanket but as I got closer I found out it was just a rustic old plow with clipped green paint.:)

I am home schooled. the school system i was in the teachers were being very mean and the princepal was a mean person to. the kids were snots and i just had to get outa there! lol im ok now i have been doing it for the last three years of school.

i love it! it beats getting up at 6 am! and i have more time for my dog and friends to. the best part is i get to be home to get my pony package every month unless i go on a trip or have to be somewhere.

Once, my dad’s horse rolled over by the fence, and if I remember right, she had maybe three legs stuck in the fence!! But she wasn’t hurt at all, she just pulled her legs out and got up.

Good job at getting your point across to Cherokee! Sometimes baron tries to stop or turn around and I don’t let him win, either.
We have a synthetic saddle, but I really want a leather jumping saddle (and I’m drooling over the Bates Hunter/Jumper saddle…it’s so expensive though 
) And I’m saving my pennies. My mom is helping, or else I’d be 40 until I could afford it myself!! I hate when my saddle gets dusty or spider-webby, even if I rode a couple of days before! Happy riding!

Ok first you need to memorize ur locker combination and also big thing!, learn your way around your school and dont go in the wrong class. i did that and was so embarrarraaaaased! My 6th grade class was in a huge school and i had to find the gym, the lunch room and the choral music room which i was in for scool gatherings. so there is alot of stuff to remeber but after a week u get used to it and it feels like you have been doing it for ever! i know i lived it for 5 years lol ok not that long just one.

that may be true at some places. We had one of the best art teachers! i loved her! she was so awesome we did learn alot about the renesaince period and american gothic art periods. we did sting prints where you took peices of craft hoses and put them on a board with posts and dipped them in ink and printed it like that. we did ummmmm… goodness i forgot what we did its been so long.
I just feel right when im at the stable helping them with the aidb students that come to ride. i just feel so RIGHT! like this is what im supposed to do with my love of horses and kids.

I did get to ride Saturday. But Cherokee acted up for me; before I was done, she refused to move. If I got her to move a few steps, she kept tossing her head and stuff. So I did the only thing I could do to end on a good note; I backed her up, which she is good at. And she did good with that, so we did end on a good note. 
Yes, Cherokee is my horse.

It had a hot-pink piece of posterboard as the background, and then I colored a big card blue with a marker. I glued the picture onto that-the picture shows the two bay horses standing at the gate-and then glued it onto the board. 
Then under it, I wrote ‘Christy and Cody’ with a marker. I wrote short stories in it.

I am really gettting used to it now!!! 
I can open my lock like every time now at the first try and somtimes i am like just hanging out by my locker cleaning it up so i do not get to my next class to early!!! I am now like on time for all my classes the only thing that is hard is that my Spainsh Class and my com tech class are upstairs in the 7th grade wing and like when you go in the hallway all the 7th and 8th graders are just like standing in the middle of the halls talking and not moving!!! So i need all the time I can get for those classes!!!!! Also I HATE GYM!!!!!! it is so awful and we have to learn how to run a mile with out stopping!!!!!!! ( i run slow and can not run long but i can run if if i just take like a 5 second break every so often.) But anyway thanks for your help again and are you liking 7th grade??!!!

It gets tight sometimes, but (not to brag) I always am able to get my package. 
I have never missed a package in the almost four years I have been in PONY! :O I hope you’re able to get all the packages from now on. 
Here’s a tip: Try not to buy stuff like candy, food, stuff you don’t need or you will be done with like really quick. 
And as soon as you pay off one package, start saving for the next one! If you have siblings, do jobs for them for pay.

But you have to go every few weeks to get your wire tighted ( arg i hate that!!!!!) and so that does not hurt ether it just feels tight but after like a half a day ( depending on how many times you have had them tighted) You get used to them again and it does not feel so tight any more!!!! 
WHen i got my braces in i would not really say it hurt it was more that they just felt so different but after about a few days you mosty get used to them!!!!
