Andalusian

Andalusian
The Andalusian breed is a descendent of the Iberian horses of Spain and Portugal, and the name comes from their place of origin, the province of Andalusia, in southern Spain. In Europe, they were known as the “royal horses” because of their long, heavy neck and chest, thick mane and tail, and well-defined withers. They were not exported to the U.S. until the 1960s and are today used for many equestrian activities. Andalusians are known for their sensitivity, intelligence and cooperative nature..
